Lionel Faury Les Hautes Ribaudes is a Syrah from the Collines Rhodaniennes, outside the appellation boundaries.

The Collines Rhodaniennes designation covers the hills around the northern Rhône's famous appellations, and growers use it for fruit from young vines or from slopes just outside the lines, which gives wines of similar character at a far lower price. The variety and the granite are the same; only the paperwork differs.

Serve at 16 degrees with charcuterie, roast chicken or grilled meats. Drink over the next six years.
