Loimer Loiserberg Riesling Kamptal 2022

Loimer Loiserberg Riesling comes from a single vineyard on primary rock above Langenlois.

The Loiserberg is a terraced hillside of weathered gneiss and loess, and vineyards like it are classified in Austria as Erste Lage, the equivalent of a premier cru. Riesling here is dry, taut and built to age. Fred Loimer farms the estate biodynamically and uses native yeast and neutral vessels so the site shows.

Serve at 10 degrees with trout, roast pork or a washed-rind cheese. It rewards a decade.
