Lokoya Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Lokoya Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Mayacamas range on Napa's western edge.

Lokoya makes Cabernet from four Napa mountain appellations and nothing else, bottling each separately so the differences between them are the whole point. Mount Veeder is the southernmost, cooled by San Pablo Bay, with thin volcanic and sedimentary soils and a long, slow season that gives firm, structured wines. Fruit is hand-picked from steep blocks and matured in French oak.

Decant well ahead and serve at 17 degrees with aged beef, venison or hard cheese. It rewards twenty-five years.
