Louis Billard Gevrey-Chambertin MAGNUM 2023

Louis Billard Gevrey-Chambertin is a village-level red Burgundy from one of the Cote de Nuits' most respected appellations, bottled here in magnum format for extended cellaring.

Louis Billard is a young Burgundian winemaker who grew up around Domaine Billard Père et Fils near Meursault before building his own small négociant-style label. He trained across some of Burgundy's most respected cellars, including a stint at Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, before working vintages abroad, an experience that has shaped a meticulous, hands-off approach centred on gentle extraction, indigenous-yeast fermentation and careful sourcing of parcels across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.

A structured, savoury style of village Gevrey-Chambertin, this is well suited to roast meats and hearty, slow-cooked dishes, and the magnum format makes it a natural choice for sharing at the table.
