Louis Bouillot Perle de Vigne Grande Réserve is a Crémant de Bourgogne in a handy half bottle.

Louis Bouillot is based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of Burgundy, and has specialised in Crémant de Bourgogne since the late nineteenth century. Crémant is Burgundy's sparkling wine, made by the traditional method with its second fermentation in bottle. Perle de Vigne blends Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Burgundy's two great grapes, with Aligoté and Gamay for freshness and red-berry roundness. The Grande Réserve tag signals longer ageing on lees before release. It is pale yellow with green hints, with fruit then floral aromas and a crisp, citrus-lifted palate.

Serve well chilled. The 375ml size suits an aperitif for two, and it also partners smoked salmon blinis, gougères or a plate of oysters.
