Louis Jadot Bourgogne Cote d'Or Rouge 2022

Louis Jadot Bourgogne Côte d'Or Rouge comes from vineyards inside the Côte d'Or itself, a tighter appellation than plain Bourgogne.

The Bourgogne Côte d'Or appellation was created in 2017 to distinguish wines grown on the slope from those made anywhere in greater Burgundy, which matters because the limestone soils of the Côte give Pinot Noir its structure. Jadot's holdings run the length of both côtes. Fruit is destemmed, fermented with native yeast and matured in French oak, largely seasoned.

Serve at 15 degrees with roast chicken, charcuterie or mushroom dishes. Drink over the next six years.
