Louis Jadot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2022

Louis Jadot Clos Vougeot is a Grand Cru Pinot Noir from the walled vineyard the Cistercians planted in the twelfth century.

Clos de Vougeot covers fifty hectares behind its original wall, the largest Grand Cru in the Côte de Nuits and now split between around eighty owners, so the name tells you less than the grower does. The upper slope, closest to the château, has the best drainage. Jadot ferments with native yeast and ages the wine in French oak, a good portion new.

Decant and serve at 16 degrees with game, beef or aged cheese. It is built for twenty years.
