Lucien Muzard Meursault Les Meix Chavaux comes from a village lieu-dit on the northern edge of the commune, made by an organic family domaine based in Santenay.

Les Meix Chavaux is a village lieu-dit on the northern side of Meursault, on the flatter ground below the premier cru slope, where deeper soils give a rounder, earlier-drinking version of the commune's wine. Domaine Lucien Muzard is based in Santenay at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune, where the family farms organically and works the vineyards with care through the growing season. Their whites are made without excess: whole-bunch pressing, fermentation and ageing in barrel with little new wood, and time on fine lees to build texture. The result keeps the nutty, gently buttery Meursault character while staying clearly defined.

Generous and approachable young, it suits roast chicken, pork and mushroom risotto; serve at around 12 degrees.
