Lungarotti Torre di Giano DOC is a traditional Umbrian white blend that reflects the long-standing winemaking heritage of central Italy. Produced in the hills surrounding Torgiano, this wine showcases the region’s ability to create balanced, food-friendly whites with freshness and character.
Made from Vermentino, Trebbiano and Grechetto, the blend highlights some of Italy’s most important native and regional white grape varieties. Grechetto, in particular, is closely tied to Umbria and has been cultivated in the region for centuries. Lungarotti remains one of Umbria’s most influential family-run estates, helping define the modern identity of Umbrian wine.

Zuppa di Ceci e Rosmarino (Umbrian Chickpea & Rosemary Soup)
Ingredients:
- 400g cooked chickpeas
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 litre vegetable stock
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 2 slices rustic bread, toasted
- Salt and cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot and gently sauté the onion until softened.
- Add the garlic and rosemary and cook briefly until fragrant.
- Stir in the chickpeas and vegetable stock and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cook for 20 minutes, then blend half the soup to create a rustic texture.
- Season with salt and cracked black pepper to taste.
- Serve with toasted rustic bread and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
