Maison C. Thiriet Bourgogne Blanc Cuvée Confidentielle 2024

Bourgogne Blanc "Cuvée Confidentielle" is a Chardonnay from Maison C. Thiriet, sourced from selected parcels across the Côte de Nuits and vinified to show a more textured, layered side of everyday Bourgogne Blanc.

Camille Thiriet started from scratch in Burgundy, building the domaine from nothing since her first vintage in 2016 - a real achievement in a region where vineyard land rarely comes up for sale. Based around Corgoloin and Comblanchien in the Côte de Nuits, she now farms six hectares (following the recent acquisition of Domaine Gilles Jourdan) alongside a négociant business under the Maison C. Thiriet label, sourcing carefully from growers she trusts. The wines are made with real precision and sometimes a portion of whole-cluster fermentation, favouring a lighter, more perfumed, contemporary style over heavier, more traditional Burgundy.

Bright with orchard fruit and a subtle creamy edge, it suits roast chicken, creamy pasta or soft cheeses; serve at around 11-13 degrees.
