Maison C. Thiriet Côte de Nuits-Villages Rouge Aux Montagnes 2024

Côte de Nuits-Villages "Aux Montagnes" is a single-parcel Pinot Noir bottled under the Maison C. Thiriet négociant label, sourced from the named Aux Montagnes vineyard and made to the same precise, contemporary standard as Camille's domaine wines.

Camille Thiriet started from scratch in Burgundy, building the domaine from nothing since her first vintage in 2016 - a real achievement in a region where vineyard land rarely comes up for sale. Based around Corgoloin and Comblanchien in the Côte de Nuits, she now farms six hectares (following the recent acquisition of Domaine Gilles Jourdan) alongside a négociant business under the Maison C. Thiriet label, sourcing carefully from growers she trusts. The wines are made with real precision and sometimes a portion of whole-cluster fermentation, favouring a lighter, more perfumed, contemporary style over heavier, more traditional Burgundy.

Structured yet perfumed, with dark cherry and a savoury edge, it pairs well with braised or roasted red meats; serve at around 15-17 degrees.
