Makipai Chardonnay 2021

Makipai Chardonnay is a fresh, approachable everyday white from Marlborough.

Free-draining alluvial soils run across the Wairau and Awatere valleys, and cool nights hold onto acidity even as the fruit ripens. Chardonnay from the region tends to be citrus-led and fresh. It's a smaller label, working in the fruit-forward style the region does for early drinking.

Stone fruit and citrus with a smooth finish. Good at 9–11°C with roast chicken, creamy pasta, prawns or fish and chips.
