Makipai Pinot Noir 2019

Makipai Pinot Noir is a light, red-fruited Marlborough red for everyday drinking.

This comes from a smaller label in New Zealand's largest wine region, at the north-eastern tip of the South Island. Long sunny days and cool nights ripen the fruit while keeping natural acidity. The grape is typically bright and red-fruited here, made fresh for early drinking.

Supple and light, with cherry, raspberry and soft tannins. Serve it slightly cool, 13–15°C, and bring it to the table with salmon, duck, charcuterie or mushroom pizza.
