Marion's Vineyard Lunacy Pét Nat Müller-Thurgau 2023

Marion's Vineyard Lunacy Pét Nat is a naturally sparkling, gently hazy Müller-Thurgau from the Tamar Valley in northern Tasmania.

A pétillant naturel is bottled while it's still finishing its first fermentation, so the bubbles are natural and a light haze of lees often stays in the wine. This one is made from estate fruit grown at Deviot, where Mark and Marion Semmens planted vines in the early 1980s on the river's western bank. It's a playful, rustic take on sparkling, quite different from the traditional method.

Fresh, fizzy and fun, with a soft natural bubble. Chill it well (6–8°C) and open it as an aperitif or with fried snacks, oysters and summery salads.
