MDI Pinot Grigio 2026

MDI Pinot Grigio is a fresh, filtered white from Mildura in the Murray Darling, made with minimal handling in the winery.

Vintage 2026 tested everyone in the Murray Darling. Extreme heat meant timing in the vineyard mattered more than usual, and picking ahead of a significant rain event is what preserved the fruit, with an excellent result in tank at the end of it. The source is a mature family vineyard on limestone-studded red-brown loam. Machine harvesting happened in the cool of dawn, the fruit went to the winery at once and was pressed without sulphur, keeping only the heart of the press. Cool fermentation followed, then settling, filtration and bottling.

Lively and dry, all lemon, green apple and a chalky edge, with the crunch you want from a warm-climate Grigio. Serve it cold, 8 degrees, as an aperitif or with grilled prawns, a simple pasta with garlic and parsley, or goat's cheese.
