Mike Press Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Mike Press Cabernet Sauvignon is an estate-grown Adelaide Hills Cabernet from the Kenton Valley, and an everyday red at a fair price.

After a long career making wine for big Australian companies, Mike Press and his family planted their own vineyard near Lenswood. The idea was simple: grow cool-climate fruit on the estate and sell the wine well below the usual regional price. Cabernet from up here keeps fresh acidity and a leafy, savoury edge alongside the blackcurrant, and it's made to drink young.

Cassis fruit and fine tannins, firm but friendly. Good with grilled steak, a lamb roast or beef casserole at 16–18°C, and it will happily sit in the cellar for a few more years.
