Description

Mike Press Merlot is an estate-grown Adelaide Hills Merlot from the Kenton Valley, soft and easy for everyday drinking.

The vineyard was planted by the Press family once Mike stepped away from a long career at larger Australian wineries. Everything is estate-grown, and the wines are priced well below the local norm. Cooler sites give Merlot a lively, medium-weight feel: plum and red berries, soft tannins, a savoury herbal note. It's made to enjoy without fuss.

Plummy and gentle, ready to drink now. It's just as happy on its own as with a midweek dinner of roast pork, pizza, lasagne or mushroom pasta. Serve at 16–18°C.
