Description
Description
Mike Press Pinot Gris is an aromatic, textural white off a single high vineyard in the Adelaide Hills.
That block lies in Kenton Valley, planted in 1998 and facing north-east across undulating ground between 400 and 500 metres, high enough to keep ripening slow and acid intact. This is the first estate-grown gris from the family, handled simply and without oak so the fruit does the talking.
Ripe pear and white flowers lead, a creamy middle fills out, and the close is fresh and savoury. Serve it between 8 and 10 degrees with prawns, chicken schnitzel or a plate of soft cheese.
