Description

Mike Press VS Range Syrah is a step-up, cool-climate Adelaide Hills Shiraz from selected estate fruit in the Kenton Valley.

Calling it Syrah signals a cooler, more savoury style. The grapes grow high in the Mount Lofty Ranges and ripen slowly, which brings peppery spice, dark fruit and fine tannins, not sheer weight. It belongs to the family's top tier, made from selected estate fruit with more concentration and detail than the standard bottlings.

Spicy, supple and savoury, with more depth than the regular Shiraz. Lamb, venison, duck and mushroom dishes all suit it; serve at 16–18°C.
