Millton Opou Chardonnay 2023

Millton Opou Chardonnay is a single-vineyard, biodynamically grown Chardonnay from Gisborne on New Zealand's North Island.

One of the family's original vineyards near Manutuke has long provided the fruit for this bottling. The Milltons set up here in 1984, farming without synthetic sprays or fertilisers and following the biodynamic calendar. The region is warm and sunny, on fertile alluvial soils, and the cellar work is minimal: wild yeast, few additions and patient maturation.

Ripe stone fruit, gentle texture and fresh acidity. Pour it at 10–12°C with roast chicken, crayfish or pork belly, and enjoy it young.
