Description

Ministry of Clouds Chardonnay is a cool-climate Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills.

Ministry of Clouds was founded by Julian Forwood and Bernice Ong, who make wine from carefully selected vineyards across South Australia from their base in McLaren Vale. Their Chardonnay comes from the Adelaide Hills, a high, cool region in the Mount Lofty Ranges where elevations of 400 to 600 metres and cold nights produce Chardonnay with fine natural acidity and tension rather than overt richness. The region is widely regarded as one of Australia's finest for the variety, in the modern, restrained style. The wine is fermented and matured in oak barrels, with lees contact adding texture, and it is bottled under screwcap.

An elegant, medium-bodied Chardonnay for roast chicken, pork or creamy seafood pasta; serve at around 10 to 12 degrees.
