MMAD Vineyard Chenin Blanc 2025

MMAD Vineyard Chenin Blanc comes from old dry-grown vines on the deep sands of Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale.

The vineyard was planted in the 1970s, when Chenin Blanc was still being put in across South Australia, and most of what was planted then has long since been pulled out, which makes a site like this unusual. Blewitt Springs sits at the higher, north-eastern end of McLaren Vale on ancient sand over clay, which drains hard and keeps yields low. The letters stand for the four partners behind the project, among them the team at Shaw + Smith. The wine is made with a light hand and minimal new oak.

Serve at 11 degrees with roast chicken, pork or a firm cheese. It develops over six years.
