Description

MMAD Vineyard Grenache is drawn from old bush vines on Blewitt Springs sand in McLaren Vale.

Blewitt Springs is the sub-region that convinced Australia to take Grenache seriously again: deep ancient sands give perfumed, fine-boned reds rather than the heaviness the variety can produce on richer ground. These are dry-grown bush vines of considerable age. Fermentation uses whole bunches and native yeast, with maturation in older oak so nothing covers the fruit.

Serve slightly cool at 16 degrees with roast lamb, charcuterie or mushroom dishes. Drink over the next eight years.
