Mount Horrocks Nero d'Avola 2023

Mount Horrocks Nero d'Avola is a Sicilian variety grown in the Clare Valley.

Nero d'Avola holds acidity in heat better than most red varieties, which is why Australian growers in warm regions have taken it up over the last two decades. In Clare's continental climate it gives a medium-bodied red with dark fruit and a savoury finish. The estate's vineyards are certified organic.

Serve slightly cool at 16 degrees with grilled meats, pasta or roast vegetables. Drink over the next eight years.
