Mount Horrocks Semillon 2024

Mount Horrocks Semillon is a dry white from the organic vineyards at Watervale in the Clare Valley.

Semillon in Clare is a different proposition from the Hunter Valley: picked riper and often given some barrel work, it gives a fuller, more textural wine rather than the lean, early-picked Hunter style. Stephanie Toole has run the estate since 1993 and farms organically. The wine sees a portion of oak fermentation for texture.

Serve at 11 degrees with roast chicken, fish or a soft cheese. It develops over six years.
