Description
Description
Mount Horrocks Watervale Riesling is a dry white from the limestone soils of the southern Clare Valley.
Watervale sits at the southern end of Clare on red soils over limestone, which give Riesling a rounder, more open shape than the slate of Polish Hill River further east. Stephanie Toole has owned and run Mount Horrocks since 1993 and farms the vineyards organically. The wine is whole-bunch pressed, fermented cool and bottled dry without oak.
Serve at 8 degrees with seafood, salads or lightly spiced dishes. It develops over a decade.
