Description

Mount Rozier Reserve The Stable Yard Shiraz is a peppery, fruit-driven Shiraz from Stellenbosch in South Africa.

Shiraz, also called Syrah in South Africa, does well in the warm Stellenbosch climate, especially on slopes cooled by breezes from False Bay. Mount Rozier's Reserve wines come from the Helderberg area, on the south-eastern side of the region. This wine is intense ruby-purple, with layers of red and black fruit, black pepper, herbs and violet. It is medium-bodied and well rounded, with lush, ripe, velvety tannins and a medium-long finish.

Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees with a braai, lamb chops, boerewors or a pepper-crusted steak.
