Mt Difficulty Mansons Farm Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is a powerful single-site Pinot released only in exceptional years.

Mansons Farm is a Bannockburn vineyard that consistently gives Mt Difficulty its most concentrated Pinot Noir, and the wine is made in very small volumes. Bannockburn's hot, dry growing season and cold nights build both ripeness and freshness. The 2019 shows savoury, earthy notes over a deep core of blueberry, plum and black cherry, with the site's signature violet florals. It starts tight and focused, then broadens across the palate, with tannins that are gentler this vintage and are softening into a long, plush finish.

Decant and serve at around 16 degrees alongside venison loin, braised beef cheeks or a rich mushroom stroganoff. It has plenty of life ahead in the cellar.
