Munda Ngadjuri + Peramangk Country Grenache 2023

Munda Ngadjuri + Peramangk Country Grenache is a medium-bodied South Australian Grenache drawn from two neighbouring Aboriginal Countries.

Owned by Aboriginal people, this label is named for munda, meaning land or Country, and it credits the Traditional Owners of each vineyard source on the front label. Ngadjuri Country runs through the Barossa and north toward the Clare Valley, while Peramangk Country takes in the higher ground of the Eden Valley and Adelaide Hills, so both sit in the ranges and valleys north-east of Adelaide. The wine is pretty and aromatic, with raspberry, dried cherry, rhubarb and lifted spice, savoury earthy flavours and layers of soft tannin, keeping generosity and fineness in balance.

A light chill helps here: around 14 to 16 degrees suits it well. Pair with chargrilled chicken, pork and fennel sausages or roast beetroot with labneh, and enjoy over the next few years.
