Munda Potawurutj Country Cabernet Sauvignon Padthaway 2023

Munda Potawurutj Country Cabernet Sauvignon Padthaway is a structured Limestone Coast Cabernet from Potawurutj Country in South Australia's south-east.

This Aboriginal-owned label, whose name means land or Country, acknowledges the Traditional Owners of every site it sources from. Padthaway lies north of Coonawarra on the Limestone Coast, sharing red soils over limestone and a cool, maritime-influenced climate that suits Cabernet Sauvignon well. That shows in the fruit: blueberry, cassis and blood plum with violet and autumn-leaf notes, dark cherry and a touch of mocha, with lingering flavours and well-integrated tannins giving the wine its structure.

Decant for half an hour and serve at around 17 to 18 degrees with a scotch fillet, braised beef cheeks or aged cheddar. It will develop well with some years in the cellar.
