Description

Nanny Goat Single Vineyard Bendigo Syrah is a rare Central Otago bottling of the variety.

Syrah needs more heat than most of Central Otago can give, which is why it is grown almost exclusively at Bendigo, the region's warmest sub-region, on north-facing schist slopes. The result is a peppery, medium-bodied wine closer to the northern Rhône than to Australia. Fermentation includes whole bunches, with French oak maturation.

Serve at 16 degrees with lamb, duck or grilled vegetables. Drink over the next eight years.
