Description

Nanny Goat Vineyard Chardonnay is grown in Central Otago, better known for Pinot Noir than for white wine.

Otago's short, hot season and cold nights give Chardonnay high natural acidity and citrus definition rather than tropical weight, which makes it a tighter wine than most New Zealand Chardonnay. The vineyard sits at Queensberry, in the Cromwell basin. The wine is barrel-fermented with lees ageing and restrained new oak.

Serve at 12 degrees with roast chicken, fish or a soft cheese. Drink over the next five years.
