Description
Description
Neudorf Rosie's Block Amphora Chardonnay is fermented in clay rather than oak, from the estate's organic Moutere block.
Fermenting in amphora gives texture through slow oxygen exchange without adding any wood flavour, which suits a site like Rosie's Block where the appeal is finesse rather than weight. The block sits at around 80 metres on sandy loam in the Upper Moutere hills and is dry-farmed and certified organic. Neudorf was founded by Tim and Judy Finn in 1978.
Serve at 12 degrees with roast fish, chicken or a washed-rind cheese. Drink over the next six years.
