Nicolás Catena Zapata 2020

Nicolás Catena Zapata is the Catena family's flagship red, a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend from high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza.

First made in 1997, it was the first Argentine luxury blend to be exported around the world, and it carries the name of Nicolás Catena Zapata, the third-generation vintner who pioneered high-altitude viticulture in Mendoza. Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with Cabernet Franc and Malbec from the family's estate vineyards in the foothills of the Andes, and the wine is matured in French oak before release. Built for the long term, it is regarded as one of South America's great red wines.

Serve at 16 to 18 degrees after decanting for at least an hour. It is a wine for rare roast beef, lamb rack or aged cheeses, and it will reward many years in a good cellar.
