Nino Negri Ca'Brione Bianco Alpi Retiche IGT 2023

Nino Negri Ca’ Brione Alpi Retiche IGT is a distinctive alpine white from the slopes of the Rhaetian Alps in Valtellina, Lombardy. First created in 1986, it reflects a dramatic mountain terroir shaped by the collision of the African and European plates, with a complex mix of rocky, mineral-rich soils that give the wine both precision and elegance. Vineyards sit on steep terraces along the right bank of the Adda River, where altitude and cool conditions preserve freshness and structure.

This unique blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Incrocio Manzoni and a small portion of Nebbiolo (locally known as Chiavennasca) brings together international and local varieties in a refined, textural style. The grapes undergo a brief drying period before fermentation in French oak barriques, followed by at least six months ageing on lees, adding depth and complexity while maintaining alpine tension.

This is a structured and mineral-driven white, balancing richness with freshness - an elegant and quietly complex expression of mountain winemaking.
