O'Leary Walker Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

O'Leary Walker Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold, polished Cabernet from one of South Australia's classic red wine regions.

Clare Valley Cabernet has a long track record, with the region's elevation and cool evenings preserving freshness in a warm climate. Experienced winemakers David O'Leary and Nick Walker source from Clare vineyards for this varietal wine, with charred oak adding a savoury edge. The 2023 is deep crimson with bramble, black cherry and blackcurrant, forest floor, satsuma plum and dense but finely textured tannins that give a smooth, polished feel.

Decanting for 30 minutes helps. Serve at around 17 to 18 degrees with chargrilled rump steak, lamb shoulder or a mushroom pie, or cellar it for several years.
