O'Leary Walker Clare Valley Shiraz 2024

O'Leary Walker Clare Valley Shiraz is a full-bodied, seamless Clare Valley red built on dark fruit and savoury spice.

The Clare Valley lies north of Adelaide, and its mix of warm days and cool nights gives Shiraz generous fruit while keeping freshness and structure. Winemakers David O'Leary and Nick Walker draw on local vineyards for this wine, finishing it with subtle French oak so the fruit stays in front. The 2024 is dark and brooding, with blackberry, raspberry and plum, black olive and anise, silky tannins and creamy oak through a long finish.

Pour this alongside slow-cooked beef brisket, pepper steak or a hearty lentil casserole. Give it a decant if opening young; it will also age well.
