O'Leary Walker Polish Hill River Riesling 2025

O'Leary Walker Polish Hill River Riesling is a floral, youthful Riesling from one of the Clare Valley's most respected sub-regions.

Polish Hill River takes its name from the Polish settlers who farmed the area in the nineteenth century, and its higher, cooler sites and slaty soils give tight, long-lived Riesling. The Clare-based partnership of David O'Leary and Nick Walker bottles it separately from its Watervale Riesling to show the difference between the two areas. The 2025 is bright with a green glint, with floral bath powder, musk stick and orange blossom, then punchy fruit, wet slate and citrus over balanced acidity.

Enjoy it well chilled with sashimi, crab salad or a Vietnamese chicken salad. It drinks well young and will reward many years in the cellar.
