Oliver's Taranga HJ Reserve Shiraz 2022

Oliver's Taranga HJ Reserve Shiraz is the family's flagship red, from their oldest McLaren Vale blocks.

The initials belong to an earlier generation of the Oliver family, who arrived from Dumfriesshire in 1839 and planted at Taranga two years later, making this one of the longest continuous family holdings in McLaren Vale. The region's sea breeze off the Gulf St Vincent keeps Shiraz from the jamminess of hotter country. The Reserve comes from the best parcels and spends longer in French oak than the estate wines.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with aged beef, lamb or hard cheese. It rewards fifteen years.
