Description

Oliver's Taranga DJ Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the family's best Cabernet blocks in McLaren Vale.

Cabernet is less planted than Shiraz here but ripens fully in McLaren Vale's warmth while the maritime influence holds the acidity, giving blackcurrant fruit with firm tannin. The initials honour a family member, as the HJ Reserve does. The Olivers have farmed this ground since 1841 and have made wine under their own label since 1994.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb, beef or aged cheddar. It develops over twelve years.
