Ornellaia Le Volte dell' Ornellaia IGT Museum Release 2020

Ornellaia Le Volte dell'Ornellaia IGT Museum Release is a Tuscan red from the celebrated Ornellaia estate in Bolgheri. Conceived as an immediately approachable introduction to the world of Ornellaia, Le Volte combines the generosity of the Mediterranean climate with the structure and precision that have made the estate one of the defining names of the Tuscan coast.

Built around Merlot with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, the varieties are vinified separately in small stainless-steel tanks before undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine is then matured for 10 months, partly in barriques previously used for Ornellaia and partly in concrete tanks. This combination is deliberately chosen to balance structure with freshness and fruit expression. The 2020 growing season moved from a cool, wet spring into a long, warm and dry summer, before cooler conditions around harvest helped preserve freshness and finesse. As a Museum Release, this bottle offers the added appeal of further maturation with carefully managed provenance.

Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees with bistecca, roast lamb, ragù, grilled meats or mature Tuscan cheeses.
