Ox Hardy Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2025

Ox Hardy Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a cool-climate Chardonnay from a McLaren Vale family producer who looks to the nearby hills for his white fruit.

While the Hardy name is tied to McLaren Vale, Andrew 'Ox' Hardy sources this Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills, where altitude and cooler nights keep natural acidity high. The wine sees some oak and full or partial malolactic fermentation, which adds a creamy texture to the stone-fruit core. It is straw in colour with nectarine and yellow peach, a touch of cashew, spicy oak and a flinty edge. The palate follows with stone fruit and spice, balanced by crunchy acidity.

Chill it, then let it warm slightly in the glass to around 10 degrees. Roast chicken with lemon and thyme, grilled snapper or a creamy mushroom pasta are all good matches.
