Description

Oxford Landing Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz is a classic Australian blend from one of the country's best-known everyday labels.

Established in 1958 by Wyndham Hill-Smith of Yalumba, Oxford Landing takes its name from a historic crossing point on the Murray River at Waikerie. The warm, sunny Riverland climate ripens fruit reliably, and the blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz is a time-honoured Aussie pairing: Cabernet for structure and blackcurrant, Shiraz for plush plummy fruit. Dark red with crimson hues, it shows blackberry, red plum and a hint of redcurrant. The palate is silky, with red cherry, warm spice and soft tannins.

Easy to enjoy at around 16 degrees with a midweek spag bol, sausages off the barbecue or a lamb and rosemary pie.
