Description

Oxford Landing Marty's Block Chardonnay is a step-up Chardonnay from Oxford Landing's own estate on the Murray River.

The Marty's Block range is named in honour of the estate's long-serving vineyard manager, and it highlights selected parcels from the Oxford Landing vineyard at Waikerie in South Australia's Riverland. The estate was established by the Hill-Smith family of Yalumba in the late 1950s, and it remains family owned. This Chardonnay opens with ripe white peach, fig and nectarine, with touches of wild honey and native wildflowers. It is full flavoured yet finely structured, giving a clear expression of the vineyard.

Chill it lightly, to around 8 to 10 degrees, and pour with barbecued chicken, prawn skewers or a creamy pumpkin risotto.
