Oxford Landing Merlot 2023

Oxford Landing Merlot is a soft, generous Merlot from a much-loved Riverland estate.

Planted by the Hill-Smith family on a bend of the Murray River at Waikerie in 1958, Oxford Landing has built its reputation on reliable, great-value varietal wines. Merlot suits the warm Riverland climate, ripening to plummy generosity while keeping the soft, velvety tannins the grape is known for. Maroon with purple hues, this 2023 shows chocolate, plum and red berries with subtle cedar and spice. Plum and red cherry fill the palate, finishing rich and supple.

Pour at around 16 degrees alongside a mushroom and thyme pie, pork sausages with mash or a margherita pizza.
