Description

Palliser Estate Pencarrow Pinot Noir is the approachable second-label Pinot from a leading Martinborough estate.

Pencarrow is the range Palliser Estate makes to be enjoyed young, drawing on the same Martinborough vineyards that supply the estate wines. The region's stony terraces and cool nights suit Pinot Noir, giving aromatic, silky wines. Pale ruby, this 2024 shows vanilla, rose petal, raspberry, cherry and five spice. It is plush and velvety, with cherries, plums and Asian spice flavours and tannins so fine they are barely noticed.

Serve slightly cool, around 14 to 16 degrees, with Peking duck pancakes, salmon teriyaki or mushroom risotto.
