Palliser Estate Single Vineyard Hua Nui Pinot Noir 2022

Palliser Estate Single Vineyard Hua Nui Pinot Noir is a structured, cellar-worthy Pinot Noir from a single Martinborough site.

The single vineyard range is Palliser Estate's way of showing how individual sites in Martinborough express themselves, with each wine kept apart from the estate blend. Hua Nui produces a darker, more serious style of Pinot. The 2022 is pale ruby, with wild thyme, leather, violets, dark cherry and plum on the nose. The tannin framework is firm yet fine, with luscious fruit and silky texture in its youth and an impressive, lingering finish.

Decant for about an hour and serve at 15 to 17 degrees with slow-roasted duck, venison or a beef bourguignon. It has the structure to cellar for eight to ten years.
