Patrick Sullivan Ada River Chardonnay 2025

Patrick Sullivan Ada River Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Ada River area of West Gippsland, Victoria.

The vineyard sits in the foothills around the Baw Baw ranges, a wet, cool and little-explored corner of the state. Grapes ripen slowly here and keep plenty of natural acidity, which gives Chardonnay drive and a fine, mineral line. Patrick works with small, high-rainfall sites in the hills east of Melbourne and bottles the best of them separately, in small batches and with a light hand.

Tight, textural and precise, with the energy to improve over a few years in the cellar. Try it at 10–12°C with snapper, roast chicken or a simple risotto.
