Description

Pio Cesare Barolo is the house's traditional blend, assembled from vineyards across several communes.

Blending across Barolo's communes was the standard practice for most of the appellation's history, balancing the structure of Serralunga against the perfume of La Morra, and Pio Cesare has continued it since 1881 alongside its single-vineyard wines. Nebbiolo is fermented with native yeast and aged in large Slavonian casks with a portion in French oak.

Decant and serve at 17 degrees with braised meats, risotto or aged cheese. It develops over fifteen years.
