Description
Description
Pio Cesare Gavi is a dry white from Cortese grapes grown in south-eastern Piedmont.
Gavi sits near the Ligurian border, closer to the sea than the Langhe, and its Cortese grapes give a light, citrus-driven white that has long been the region's answer to a seafood wine. Pio Cesare, based at Alba since 1881, works with growers in the zone. The wine is fermented cool in stainless steel and bottled without oak.
Serve at 10 degrees with seafood, antipasti or a light pasta. Drink within three years.
